A Point-to-Point is a form of amateur horse racing over fences held at a variety of Point-to-Point racecourses throughout the UK. Fife is proud to hold the most northerly meeting in the UK.
It's a great day out in the countryside where people come together to enjoy the sport and to socialise.
The day consists of six steeplechase races, and three pony races. The pony races will start at 1pm, running consecutively. The first steeplechase will go to post for 2pm, then the races run at half hour intervals, with the last race going to post at 4.30pm. Gates open at 11am, so you have plenty of time to grab a racecard, study the form, enjoy your picnic, or get some food from one of the outlets on-site before racing starts.
There is an excellent bar serving draft ale from St Andrews Brewery, there will be catering from Big Winnie Burger Van, Puddledub Hog Roast and new this year we have Screaming Peacock - try out their locally produced venison and pheasant burgers. The Coffee Ground will also be there for delicious hot drinks. There are toilets close by. The Point-to-Point is a great opportunity to enjoy a picnic with friends. We will have quite a few Trade Stands and a small Country Fair running alongside the day. Entertainment at the Fun Fair for children is always popular and Highland Rodeo Bulls will provide entertainment for all ages.
